F & G Builders, Inc. began in Horsham, PA in 1969 when Larry Fasano was a painting contractor doing work for Conrad Gettler who had been in the construction business for 20 years. He proposed that Larry join him in the building business. Mr. Gettler became Larry’s mentor giving him his knowledge & years of experience providing Larry with experience & principles which the company uses today. Rita Fasano also became a part of the company making it a husband & wife team adding feminine diversity & perspective to the design of the homes & business.
In 1972 Mr. Gettler retired. The Fasano’s had a second home in Waretown, NJ & seeing the area’s future growth potential, the business relocated to this area. F & G constructed 10 to 15 homes a year in the ”Forked River Pines”, “Cranberry Hill”, “Sunrise Beach” & “Channel’s Point” sections of Forked River with some being large waterfront homes.
On moving their office to Manahawkin, F & G Builders, Inc. was awarded the construction of large homes on Long Beach Island including oceanfronts, bayfronts and other locations.
The two story model at 216 Nautilus Dr. in the “Ocean Acres” section of Manahawkin displays Rita & Larry’s pride in good construction at an affordable price. Ranch and Cape Cod designs with traditional or contemporary features are available as well.
Rita Marie Fasano Mygrant, the oldest of their four daughters, started learning the business in 1995, and is now the construction supervisor.
In 2001 Annette Fasano, the youngest of their daughters, joined the company & brought a corporate management background to the business. My goal was to "get my feet wet" in the building business with the thought of purchasing the family business.
At that point, Rita & Larry began planning their retirement with one destination in mind: a small fishing town on the west coast of Florida called Englewood. In January of 2005, Rita & Larry's dream came true. Annette purchased the business and is now the president of F&G Builders, Inc.
